It's an OEM retrofit. I'll will PM you once I find more information for individuals doing retrofits. Don't personally know any on H-T or off, but know of websites.

those are cheap aftermarket projector lights 
Not retro-fits. There is a guy on clubsi for sale forums selling a BMW 7 series retro-fit into 99-00 headlights. I think he wants a **** load for them

There are no projector lights like that those, those are retrofits. Projector lenses placed in an existing OEM headlight casing. Cheap or not, they are still retrofits.
