Last year I was in STD. I upgraded my ECU, (PYR Racing) am I still in STD or a different class now?

 

oh, you're referring to Houston's weird STA-STF classes? I never really figured out how these classes were different than STS since a lot of cars with >3.1L engines were in it (the last letter refers to your Street Prepared A-F letter, only that you're somewhat in STS)

I'd guess that you will be bumped up to your Street Prepared class? (DSP).

 

If that's how it works, then your car is still STS(D, whatever, crazy Houston) legal.

LOL! I moved to Ft. Worth, TX & heard that not all the classes are the same. I never liked being referred to the class "STD". I'll check with the local DFW chapter.

Yeah I got halfway home to Austin after the last event before
I realized I had "STD" still written on the side of my car...
