JDM RECARO (Red v. Black)
I haven't seen this topic after my searching so I will add this. For the JDM Recaro's that are alcantra, do you think the red with black stiching will fade quicker than the black with red stiching? I am asking because I am looking for a set of JDM Recaro's, but do not want to deal with it fading. Especially for seats that are somewhat expensive.

I think the red should be fine unless you park your car in the sun alot. You could also spray 3M Scotchgard on the seats so they don't fade as well
I used to leave my car outside all day in the hot sun and I never used any fabric protectant like 3M, hence my pink Sparcos

Wouldn't that ruin the alacantara??

don't know. I've never tested 3M Scotchgard on alcantara before. It was just a suggestion...

can anyone confirm the use of 3M Scotchgard on alcantra as safe and actually proven to prevent fading?

I believe my friend used it on his JDM reddies!(I'll make sure)
I got the JDM Black ones(SO I'll more than likley put them on mine for stains) and he's the one that told me to use Scotchguard on em.

it seems like alcantara is actually a pretty durable material against liquids and whatnot. i don't see why i wouldn't use 3M scotchgard.
the website says to put the alcantra in the wash for crying out loud!! ha haha.
