valve cover painting help....doing this right now
I painted my cover wrinkle red. I painted it on Fri morning and it has since cured. Well this afternoon i touched up one spot with a small fresh coat (just the one small area.) Was this a good idea after it has aldeady dryed. Right now it looks a little shiny and not a real notice of wrinkles yet. Does it just need some time or maybe i should not have done a new coat?
i dont htink you should have done a new coat,..you probably painted it at one temperture on friday,...and then it was a different temp today which will make it cure differently,..it might just stay shiney,..if you dont like it,..i suggest stripping it and repainting
What if i recoated that area again tommarow and put it under a heat lamp, think that will clear up n make it match the rest of the cover.
I'm not sure if you already read my DIY post I did on this subject, but heres the link:

I think if you just let it sit, or even better use a hair-dryer... It should be fine.
