I am going to look at a few Ludes this week, and I just wanted to know, how to tell if the engine is an h22 or not. do all h22 have the vtec valve cover?

look at the vin # on the driver side on the dash u can see it threw the front windshield

JHMBB1= 4th gen VTEC h22a1
JHMBB2= 4th gen Si nonVtec h23a1
JHMBA8= 4th gen S nonVtec f22a1 and no abs

and of course best way to tell what it is...have them pop the hood Vtec will say vtec.. Si will be DOHC but no Vtec and S will be SOHC non vtec
