kuhmo tires?
i have them on some wheels im trying to sell, id keep them if i had another set of wheels they fit, but ive liked them, no bad things to say about them here
I got 711's on 17s and they handle great. I cannot get my tries to skid when i make turns. I'm sure the 712's a lot better though. It's a cheap tire and it's actually not bad for the price, but if you have the money i would get something better
but other than that Kumho

I have some Kumho 711's in a 215-40-17 and I have no complaints of them at all! IMO for the $$ I paid for them they are great tires. They are a little slippery in the rain but why speed and do stupid **** driving while its raining? They are definatly an improvement over the shitty stock michelin tires. All in all I think its just the opinion of the person. Some people will like them...some people will hate them..
A lot of people with the Kumho's really haven't experienced most of the tires on the market. Naturally, when compared to some of the big boys (S-03's, Pilot Sport's, P-Zero's, etc.) they suck, but when you compare them to other more affordable tire options like Azenis and AVS ES 100's, they still don't compare favorably. The Yokohama's have similar dry weather traction but superior wet weather traction from a similarly priced tire. The Azenis are also similarly priced and offer a slight decrease in wet weather grip in exchange for amazing dry weather grip. I personally won't own another set of Kumho's until they produce another model.

mine were alright, but they wore down FREAKING fast, and i don't drive hard at all.
i got a set of S-03s afterwards and i love them 10 times more.

I have the 205/50/15's Ecsta Supra 712's and i've been pretty pleased with them... good price, good grip, fair tread wear. Better pricing than alot of other tires out there, and far better grip than stock or equivalent tires, and better treadwear in comparison to some like the azenis(better wet traction i hear too). So all in all i'd say great bang for the buck. WOuld buy again.
i doubt victoracer v700s are crap... kumho makes crappy and great tires, like any popular namebrand tire co.

Hankook tires are another Korean company, like Kumho. They have actually been around for longer than Kumho in other markets (esp. in Korea and Europe). They have been breaking into the American market recently, and I believe just got the contract to supply tires for the Ford Explorer, since Ford had to switch to a different company due to the Firestone scandal. Although they are lesser known in the US, I have heard very good things about them and they seem to be on the same level as Kumho.

For the price, Kumho and Hankook offer a great product.
I'm running 712's on my WRX and other than the fact they get a bit squirrely in the rain (I only have 20% tread left), they're awesome.
FYI (for the sake of Kendall), I've run the following
Yoko A520, ES100
Toyo FZ4, T1S
Kumho 712
BFG Euro T/A, Potenza REo92, Drag Radial
Dunlop GT Qualifier, Sport
Pirelli P5000
Falken Azenis
And the absolute WORST tire ever, the Nitto NT450.
not to mention, a large number of all season, and M/S truck and car tires.
With that said, the Kumho still offers GREAT VALUE.
It's not a race tire, but what do you expect for $125/ea for a 235/40/18"
