Hood Pin install in MD/VA/DC
In preparation for the 11/3-4 event at Summit Point I've decided to install some hood pins. Anyone know of a place in the DC metropolitan area? I don't really want to be charged an arm and a leg for this.
If you're careful and take your time, it really isn't too hard of a job to do yourself. I used a dremel and it was just more time consuming than difficult. You should be alright with it.
Yeah, do it yourself and save some $
Make sure you take pics so you can post up a tutorial...

If you want some extra safety, you can install the locking hood pins from jdmhondaparts.com... That way you have keys to the hood too...
I just put on my hood pins this weekend. I went to Lowes and bout a $30 drill, and a $13 drill bit set and went to work. It took me more time than I thought, but I didn't rush the job. Give it a try, it isn't too difficult.
I want to try it, but I also want to be on the safe side, spent a lot of money on a CF hood, don't want to **** it up and make a mess of things
You're less likely to screw it up than some lazy shop. the key to good drilling is a good drill bit, get the right one for the job, take your time, and drill the hole progressively to the size you want. Also, make sure you measure everything out accurately. I guarentee that if you do it yourself, you'll be happier than if you pay someone who's gotta get you in and out the door ASAP.
