Default engine specs for a type R

got a question,one of my boys is trying to tell me that a b18c5 is an ls block with a b16 head, ok.....ls/vtec,so what block and what head makes up a typer,a gsr head would make more sense than a si

b18c5 is gs-r bottom, and b16 top with a few goodies here and there. even the tranny is similar to the b16 cept the FD, and LSD

the castings are the same not the entire assembly

The block castings are the same with P72 stamped on the rear of the block but the block designation is different. The GS-R is a B18C1 whereas the Type R is a B18C5... FWIW as stated earlier a B16B CTR block is a P72 also. Geez when will people learn to use the search function... Noobs...

c5 motor is not b16 on gsr or gsr on ctr or ls on b16 blah blah blah. a damn c5 is a c5 nothin else is the same! internals are completly different.

An itr block is not the same as a jdm civic type r block you idiot. One is a 1.8l and the other is a 1.6l.

b16b, b18c1, and b18c5 all share same casting. internals on all 3 are completely different. but are still all P-72 Blocks
