Default OBD 0 To OBD 1 Distributor Pinout Differences (or how does 8 wires go to 9)??

OK, I am switching obd0 to obd 1 and have dissected the wires to the distributor plug, and the obd0 (PR3) has 8 wires going to the main distrib. plug in but the obd 1 distributor has NINE wires with the extra being a big black 10 guage...

what to do?

I got into this one once a long time ago, and never could make it work out... I think the pickups in the distributor (or was it the CAS?) weren't compatible...
(shrugs) if you make this work, lemme know foreal man. I want to use this FREE distributor I got.

Sorry can't repin a non obd distributor to work with anything else. You can repin a obd-1 to obd-2 or vice versa, but non obd gets left out in the cold.

uhh, let me put it this way:

i have an obd 1 distributor and an obd0 harness (PR3) and so have 8 wires on the harness side but 9 wires on the distributor side - so do i need the 9th wire hooked up to the distributor because if so don't know where it comes from

got that from Distributor King who ads on these pages

thanks all for your patience

Don't have my helms in front of me, but just compare the pinouts from an obd-1 distributor and that of an obd-2 distributor, pretty straight forward.

i got the electronic swap in but now have a CKP, or CEL4 code

the dizzy is obd1 from Distributor King and the harness is actually from 90 civic Si (obd0)

converting to a plug to mate with the dizzy plug not hard with only two diffs:

obd0 harness/obd1 dizzy:

big white/blue
blue green/yellow green

any ideas as the dizzy is BRAND NEW & untouched??
