well in the whole process of puttin my head back together. i decided to replace my spark plug cover stud i broke awhile back. and my vtec solenoid bolt that i recently over-torqued and snapped. both are flushed. so im not sure exactly how to go about takin it out.. thanks in advance
well there isnt any stress on them, so you should be able to press your finger up against them and turn them out. If this doesnt work, take a drill, put it in reverse and spin it out(worked several times for me). Last resort, go to sears and get the little POS thats made to take them out.
You said they're flush against the surface? Your best bet might be to go to Sears/Home Depot and get those EZ-out drill bits (I think that's the name). I'm not sure they make them that small, but I'm almost positive they do. It's basically a reverse drill bit made to do work like this.
If there is any of it sticking out, 95Integra has it right. They are just screwed in lightly by hand. If it's tight, and since it's broken anyway, just take some pliers/vice grips, grab on tight and turn em out.
