Ok i have a honda crx si 1990.I am wanting to put a 89 honda prelude 2.0 vtech engine in it.What am i gonna have to modify or buy that isnt part of either motors that i cant use such as axles, and stuff like that.
I need to know like what i am gonna have to get for this swap to work.
If any one has any answers let me know a.s.a.p i already have the car i just have to start doing the swap

Honda did not make a 1989 Vtec Engine for a prelude

 

so is it even a Vtec cause i mean i was told it was...a Vtec but, its a older style prelude maybe its a 90 im not sure..ill check quick..but, if it is a 90 will it fit that is wht i need to know?

yes u can make the motor fit. but go look at the motor yourself get the engine code and exact year of the motor. dont get burnt.
