Default Ebay warning

Hey guys, just wanted to warn potential e-bay buyers about a bad vendor. They go by the name "KWIMPORTS". They are sending out junk that does not work and even send out items that don't look like the pics. Myself and lots of buddies ordered from them and we all got screwed. Just a heads up!

Usually I buy things from people with a high seller rating or I don't at all.

That should be the case with this.

These guys have a high rating, they've just turned into crap apparently. I ordered when they had a decent rating but then it seems like shortly after we all ordered, they started turning sour. If you do the research like we did, you'll see alot of the orders coming from the same place so you know they are just getting their good ratings up by ordering their own crap. Make sure you pass this along. I don't want to soak the whole board with this.

you guys also need to be aware of "picture" scams on ebay..... people selling a picture of a motor , and putting the word picture in there but twisting words around , so people dont notice and pay for the part in the picture , when in fact the picture its self is up for bid , like so :

yea, someone actually bidded on it. I emailed the guy who bidded on it earlier today n' told him that it was a scam and he shouldn't go along with the bid.

There was a scam I read about on a news website where the scammers would find a seller's name with 100% rating with a ton of sales, then they would e-mail the top bidder (usually for a large, plasma TV) and asked them if they would rather buy the product outside of ebay. Scammer would assure them they were legit, had kids and family, and were just trying to make an honest living and put food on the table--you know. They would then say they were from another country and couldn't use paypal. But, it would be safe to use a local (Russia, or something) escrow service (one with a fake web site that also looked legit). To make a long story long, they got the money, no product was shipped, seller looks bad, and bad guys couldn't get caught. Almost everyone loses. For some reason, though, they eventually came forward to the press (never got caught, though).

People are sweet.

Dude, that picture **** is fucked up. If there was enough people that would do it, I say everyone with an account start bidding on it just to see how much a Picture* of a GSR head is worth. And then cap it off before the auction end with with a fake account. I hate scammers/thieves!
