What do i need to do too out perform a stang gt?
i posted this under the eg section but they told me it was the wrong place so i decided to post here....
Ok heres the deal. I drive a 95 eg coupe. I have a 98jdm b18c, dc sports 4-1 headers, apexi n1 catback, pr3 ecu chipped to skunk 2 specs for a gsr but with a few modifications.....vtec kicks in really strong at 5600. I still have my crappy d series short ram intake and stock catalytic converter....I will soon be getting a test pipe, CAI and my vtec controller installed...... My question is, should my car be able to run up against a stock 99+ mustang gt? If not, what else needs to be done? The reason i ask is b/c i was thinking about taking this guy up to the track who has a 01/02 gt bc he thinks his car is the best and i think my car can take it but im not sure. Any feedback would be great! thanks!

I was gonna suggest a few things.. but my wise-*** remarks were stopped when I read "vtec kicks in really strong at 5600"... then my laughter got the best of me and i quit reading.

OK, why are you running a PR3 ecu (ODB0) on a '95 car (ODB1)with a 98 engine (ODB2)? And why do you need a VTEC controller with stock cams?

C'mon... give him a break... it's prolly the dual runners he's feeling...
BTw... you should be able to handle a stock 01/02 GT with just the B18c w/o bolt ons....

If you know the guy. Just compliment him and say that you heard that those things cand pull a high 13/low 14 in the quarter.
Then go on to say that you want to take your car to the track to see what it will pull and would like to race your rust-stain so you will have some idea what your car will do, so you know if it will even be worth dragging your *** out t the track.
