Adjust Your Clutch
Ok, just got myself a 94 GSR. I've only dealt with cable trannies in the past, so my question is this: Is there any way to adjust my hydro clutch?
With cable trannies, the friction-point in my clutch can be adjusted up and down by adjusting the clutch-cable. Thanks in advance.

If you wanted the pedal lower to the ground, you would shorten the clutch cable. Which would mean spinning the adjuster counter-clockwise i believe. If i'm wrong, then you'd notice, and just spin it the other way.
Any thoughts on my original question?

Well usually on hydro clutches if u are having a prob engagin them its leads to either the slave or master cylinder.
Or maybe the clutch hydro line needs to be bleed for airbubbles.
explain a bit more about adjusting

no....if you're having problems with it, check the master and slave cylinders for leaking fluid.....on the slave cylinder, look under the dash where the clutch "rod" goes through the firewall, if it's leaking you'll see fluid running down the firewall....
some people say using DOT 4 brake fluid will modify the feel of the clutch, don't really know about that from an experience standpoint

I mean, is there any way to adjust the "engagment-point" (the point where the clutch engages and disengages as you press and release the clutch pedal)?
On cable trannies, you can adjust this point lower or higher on the clutch pedal. Can I do this on a hydro tranny?

I know what you are talking about b/c I wanted to adjust my 98 gsr but the dealer said you can't b/c it is hydraulic. I had a 88 ls and it had a cable clutch and I could adjust it but they say with the hydraulic clutches you can't adjust. But I have seen in the helms manual that you can adjust the pedal engagement and pedal height. I showed a mechanic at the dealer and said it would not be a good idea to mess with the oem specs so I left it alone. But 1 day I am going to see if I can adjust it.
