I have a dc sports short shift adapter and it is a little rough n sometimes hard to put in to 5th, n e body kno wut da prob is? or similar things, let me kno! thx

 

Problem= DC

Either one of two things.

1) It is not installed properly and when shifting in 5th it is catching a piece of plastic that needs to be trimmed.

2) Your 5th gear synchro is shot.

Remove short shifter and see the the problem still exists.

 

Ya a big to the forbidden SS but the thing is he hasn't come out the SS for the 5th gen yet. I'm one of those people that can't wait for that SS, I'm buying it as soon as he offers it for sale.

Anyone know when the shifter is supposed to be coming out. I've been waiting since last summer And his website was supposed to be updated in January, anyone hear anything about this?

I was actually thinking of designs for the website while I was on the ******* earlier....so I AM getting somewhere!

 

yup...DC is ummm not the best, threw mine out the window...well i didnt throw it i just ebay-ed it back out...My recommendation, practice practice practice your shifting, short shifter on DC is garbage, and until they make a Forbidden makes a better one...we are all SOL on the 5th Gens

 

I used to have DC, then changed to a cheap OBX one, that one worked a bit better (still have problem shifting to 1st sometimes); but neither one could compare to the one I'm using now, which I bought from 4bidden

Hmm, I have a DC short shifter installed on my 4th gen and I have never missed a shift..... not once and it moves into gear pretty easy. I have about 1" cut off of the shifter too. My only complaint is that it has more of a "notchy" feel. Make sure you have enough of the shifter box cut so it doesn't hit during the shift.

either that or figure out if the 4th gen shifter plate will fit in the 5th gen, then sell it all as a combo so us lazy folk dont have to go lookin for all the parts

i had this problem with the neuspeed one on my accord only in 5th and it wasnt my synchro they were just all replaced , dunno dont have that car anymore thought, but it didnt ever go away
