Default front lip spoiler for 2000

I was wondering if there are any good sites to order a front lip for a 2000 S2K, or if i have to go to the dealer for a OEM.
Thanks for any info.

I recently put the OEM lip on my car. I think it looks x10 better.

I will never understand people who put on a front spoiler that does not match body color.

The whole point of it is to give the car a lowered, more aggressives stance and putting a black piece say on a silver car is completely nonsensical. And on top of that, the commone sensibility of using a fragile, cheaply made carbon fiber part that will hit road.

Yes, to improve looks, but also to push the air out to the side of the car instead of underneath it.
Does it actually work? Probably not unless the car has a real belly pan, but then again, the belly of the S2000 is pretty darned flat without a ton of air pockets compared to other cars.

I know your hate for CF but as for me, paying 350 or so for the factory lip is out of the question.

Besides it blends well with my Berlina and I dont have a problem with other peoples opinion since its my car and im the one driving it. Some hate CF, some like it. I think it looks quite impressive under sunlight when you see all the weaves but to each and their own.

350 for a quality, color-matched piece isn't too much. Especially when you are considering what car it is going on.

The problem is when you crack CF often times you are screwed. With the OEM front lip you can repair it. Looks are subjective but for the record, I don't like the CF piece much.

Yah well I go through parts every 3 months or so and the CF lip was cheap and local so I picked it up. Looks ARE subjective, so who cares if other people think its ugly.

I think you can pull off CF on a black car, but on any other color, not cool.

As for the comment about the underbelly of the S2000 being flat and that the OEM front spoiler having aero benefits... pls, bro. You ain't gonna notice a thing. And the S2000's underbelly is not flat at all. Everything's exposed. Take a look at the Lexus LS400/430. Even that car has a cleaner underbelly than the S2000. With a cd of .30 or something low like that, it should.

It's a simple concept. I'm just not down with non-body color matching parts save for a few items. It totally gives the car a broken up, disheveled look. Take a look at JMS's car. The **** matches. Monochromatic. One piece of steel kinda look. Sweet and simple.

Cool. I guess we all know what YOUR opinion is....thanks for sharing.

BTW: Look at the underside of an S then compare it with a FBody, Supra or even a Vette and you willsee what I mean about how relatively unabstucted the underside of the S is....I am not saying its a friggin 550!

Unobstructed or not, ton or air pockets or not, all those cars you mention have much better aerodynamics than our lil' convertible.

Outside of Mugen and OEM Honda, I know of no other company that wind-tunnel tested their spoiler bits.

True, but then again the cd of a car is rarely taken from the underside, is it? From my experience (limited to DCX and GM) it is usually from the bumper beam up....

The underside plays a significant role in the overall aerodynamicity of the vehicle. I bring up the Lexus example because they actually market it.

The S2000 is NOT aerodynamic by any means. The ragtop doesn't help. The upright windshield hurts. The OEM front spoiler alone doesn't do anything other than make it look prettier and my whole point is you defeat the purpose of the OEM front spoiler if it's not body-color matching. It's tacky.

Like what you've done with your car.
