This weekend was the SCCA Annual Tech at Fordahl Motorsports. I took the car down to Bellevue to get teched, and to give Trever some **** since he’s back working at Fordahl again. Trever was prepping a 911 Turbo for Michael Galatti to play with this weekend at PIR. Michael showed up to check things out and have a look around the shop. He’s a lot smaller than he looks on the TV.
I had a chance to peek at some of the hardware they have, and my guess is that some of this stuff might look familiar to you. Out of respect for the Fordahl’s and the team, I won’t post any detailed or item-specific pictures I took.

Vettes have a really high ride height versus Porsche race cars, huh?
I've seen on the sccaforums site that the Z06 motors only seem to be lasting a few K miles on the racetrack. Another one bites the dust.

that Z06 doesn't even look like it has a motor in it. it looks like it slants up towards the front instead of sitting relatively flat. or they just look plain funny to begin with.

Sticky tires + Z06 or any C5 = Oil Starvation, spun bearing Boom. Accusump is a necessity on any C5 with an R tire or more that sees the track.

OT but...
Damnit, NCCC rules kinda suck. Using an accusump wouldn't give much of a performance advantage at all, but at the same time it would bump you up into a prepared class. Even though it's just a protection investment.
Last year We were forced to race our '99 hardtop in a class with modded Z06's, just because we ran the only Kumho race tire made for the stock C5 wheels, which was like a 30 or 35 series tire in the rear... Worked out well for the low speed autocrosses, but made for a very scary time at the high speed events.

Heh--Wouldn't it be funny to see Regamasters end up on a Porsche. Those look like Fikses. Imagine how much a set of those costs!!!
That is one mean-looking racecar. Not much cooler than Porsche racecars. I never get tired of looking at them.
