Default oil in coolant

I took a look at the coolant overflow bottle on my 99 civic the other day. decide to just dump the out the collant there since I have a bit of new one left just enough for the reservoir..

the black rubber tube that goes in and touches coolant is all cover is oil..the coolant looks dark green.. or green. the level is alright. didn't decrease so I know I am not loosing coolant but I am getting oil in to my coolant somehow...

what is the problem. does that mean the head gasket is going?? everything in the car works nomal except for a little tiny bit of smell lately from the exhaust when warming up.

engine is not burning oil.. oil change every 5k and the car is at 88k..

the waterpump and timming belt has not been done yet. could it be the waterpump going???

headgasket A bad headgasket is letting the oil leak from the cylinders into the open deck containing coolant. In this case your overflow bottle will probably be completely full and possible even blowing out of the overflow
