Default tranny swap

my wife has a 99 accord lx and i was thinking about swaping it to a five speed, but what year tranny can i use will 94-97 tannys work or does it have to be 98-01

yeah you can use any 4cyl accord trans from 90 to 2000. the only diffrences are the position of the tranny mount. depending on which year you use some drilling and tapping may be required

Grab an H23 tranny instead. Direct bolt-on.
