Default H22A, H22A1, H22A4 Cylnder heads

Is there a difference between ports or any other thing on these heads? Like on B and D series heads, they have differences in port shape and flow. I just had a H22A head and never seen a H22A1 or H22A4 to compare.

I am also interested, i have a h22a head, and have never seen a1 or a4 heads, but my guess would be that they are fairly close to the same, if not the h22a is better flow

so bump to get some info

I know that the distributers are different for the JDM/OBDI/OBDII. I doubt that there are really that many differences in the castings, i.e. one really should not flow that much better than the other.

I wouldn't expect much difference....considering the Intake manifolds are interchangeable, valves are the same, cc size is same...

Does anyone have any flow bench charts/sheets of a stock H series head?

I know that the 97-up sh heads have a little more aggressive cams.

Dunno about the part numbers, but according to my helms, the primary and secondary lobes are the same, but the middle lobes are different.
VTEC Lobe
Base SH
IN: 36.856 37.229
EX: 36.323 36.704

The valve spring free lengths are different, too.
Base 1 Base 2 SH
IN
outer 45.16 45.76 40.01
inner 41.78 41.75 43.61

EX
outer 46.72 46.74 44.58
inner 39.32 39.28 41.07

Of course, the helms also fails to mention the differences in the cranks between 97 and 98-on cars, and just lists every H22 as having 50mm mains.
