Hey I swapped in a GSR into my EK a week ago. There was major shaking coming from the right axle so I got it replaced. That got rid of most of the shaking. There's still SOME shaking though. Not too much, but it's noticable on the freeway when accelerating.. It seems like it's coming from the front of the car. I'm positive that my driver side axle is fine.

The weird thing is my friend also has an EK and swapped in a GSR... He switched both axles with new ones and has the same problem as me. Not major shaking just slight shaking, most noticable on the freeway in 4/5th gear while accelerating.

I dont know if shaking is the best word to describe it.... But knocking or shaking best describes it.

Anyone got a possible solution to this problem? thx

 

The whole car shakes? Could it be a weak/not sufficient mount?

 

I would check the motor mounts.

 

could it be your intermediate shaft? also when pulling axles out theres the chance of separating the joint. that's what my friend did in his GSR swapped EK and when he drives around it makes a *thud *thud *thud noise and shakes.

 

i had that problem in my swapped crx and it was a mount not bolted down all the way... so check your mounts
