i need help guys. i have a 94 integra ls. my problem is my car hesitates sometimes. like last night i am coming from a mini mall and i was waiting for the cars to clear up so i can get on the street and as soon as i step on the gas my car feels like it paused for a second or two. feels like it is going to stall but doesn't. no sound or vibrating , just feels like it died. and if i release my foot off the gas pedal and step on it again it goes back to normal. anobody had the same problem?

 

lack of air into the intake maybe?? or faulty injectors?? or bad plugs/wires??

Maybe it's one of those. HTH

 

i checked my spark plugs and they look fine, all four looks the same. i'll try to put the stock plug wires on it and see.

how about vacuum, do you think it has anything to do with my problem?

 

if it doesn't idle high, you can probably move vacuum leak down the list.

check your fuel supply and ignition system. how many miles and how long since tuned?

deffinately put your stock wires back on I haven't used or needed anything but the stock wires, but Ihave heard some stories about aftermarket and I don't think I will ever not use stock.

were there any mods you have done recently that coincide with this hesitation? if it isn't the mod itself, check to make sure of correct installation and/or nothing has come loose.

there can be a lot of causes for this, but for sure if it isn't idling high you can almost rule that out of your list.

 

car is not idling high, its actually a tad below normal. my car has 102k miles on it. plugs, dist caps and rotors recently changed. and i just changed the fuel filter. air filter cleaned at the same time.

i have aem cai, itr cat back, magnecore wires, dc 4-2-1 headers, spoon tb, spoon thermostat, stillen fpr.

my car is due for a valve adjustment in about 3k miles.

and also, what is a canister purge vavle? what does it do? it is the valve with a **** like top attached to the driver side of the intake manifold.

the reason i'm asking is i think i leaned on it while doing some work on my car. the top part moves, is it suppose to do that?

could this be a sign of a clogged injectors? i dont think its the plug wires though, cause it doesn't happen all the time. help!

 

It could be clogged injectors...however, I don't know why it wouldn't happen all the time. If I think of anything else, I'll be sure to post it.
