since there arent any perf specs that ive seen for it yet, except HP, not much to really go on.. but like i said, seems to be competition for si, and if light enuff, maybe for tegs too.

...that is a general manager @ one of the local Toyota dealerships, so I got a sneak preview of the sales brochure a bit ago. As far as performance, they're going to pretty much get the 181 hp VVT-i engine and 6spd tranny that is sold in the Celica GT-S. 11.5:1 c/r. I do believe this car weighs in @ about 2700 lbs, so it would DEFINITELY need to go on a diet, and Toyota needs to figure out how to make that particular (4 cylinder) VVT-i stay in the aggressive cam profile, too. When you redline the GT-S, the rpms fall too low for it to stay in VTEC. And it comes stock w17"s, so the riceboys will love that, too.

Overall, not a bad car, but for a racer, it could use a little more refinement (weight loss program would be a good place to start )

 

haha, I saw that pic at the movie theatre, I actually thought it was an IS300 wagon

 

Its got the GT-S engine available in it, but it better weigh in the 2.400 range, or it will still not be able to hang with the GT-S.

 

Why don't they put the GT-S engine in the MR-S instead of that 130hp pos?
