Default Auto tranny rebuild

New guy here. I just got a '94 Prelude Si, with a 2.3 DOHC non vtec with an auto tranny. I went home to pick it up, and cruised around for a day or two. Everything was fine, for the most part. I start heading back and at 3500-4000rpm the tranny starts slipping. I'm looking for an aftermarket rebuild kit to beef up the tranny a little bit. I would REALLY like to have a 5 speed, but I'm 420 miles away from the car right now, so I can't do anything to it. Any help would be great. Thanks. John

well, any "aftermarket beefy rebuild" will only be done by a transmision specialist shop and in all seriousness, it would probably end up costing you less to do a five speed swap. i mean i have had a couple of auto trannys die on me, and some shops quoted me rediculous prices to fix them. so i said **** em, and went the junk yard route, and that proved to suck to, i got 2 bad auto trannys from them, then i finally went with a 5 speed

i don't know of any after market rebuild kits, and i think if anyone else knew they would have posted, but if you really insist, take it to a tranny specialty shop, and shell out some $$$ and they will get it done.... 5 speed, is the way to go

Actually, I could do the rebuild myself if I had the car here with me. I just wanted to get a rebuild kit with some beefier internals and a shift kit. I had searched some online, but didn't find anything. A five speed is the way to go, but I'm not about to hand over my car and let some guy I don't know hack on it. A couple of years ago the slushbox in my sisters '92 Accord went out, and they charged my mom $1200 for it. Anyway, thanks for the reply. I'll see what I can work out. John

Level 10 sells a beefy rebuild kit.. Mine will be here tommorrow.. Torque Converters are service only option with alot of companies I spoke to. Level 10 TC sucks.. Only gives you 200 to 300 rpm above stock.. I have it and am not impressed with their TC.. I need 1000 rpm over stock.
