what's up guys, i was wanting to know if any of you guys
are running smaller tires like 40 series to change the gearing
on the h23 tranny. wouldn't you be able to rip through the gears better?

 

go with he 12 inch tires and 50mm side walls your rip though really good!!! naw but really it wont be a noticable differance!

 

to the tizzop, has anybody done this?

 

i'm on 205/50/15 tires for competitive situations and the 1" in lessened diameter creates a noticeable improvement in acceleration and response. this is on an H22 btw, but it's the same thing for all trannies, i would imagine.

 

I'm also running a 50 series tire and I think it helps get through the gears quicker.

 

a 50 series isn't that small of a tire compared to a 40 series
i'm referring specifically to h23's .
the quicker i can get into third and fourth gear,
the better

 

well the benefit of a smaller rolling diameter is universal to all transmissions.
