Reputable paint shops in MD??
Hey guys, heres the deal. I painted my bodykit when I first got it. We went to a local automotive repair place and had my milano red mixed to get a pretty good match to my car (the tri-color, not two stage). Problem was that the day we picked was too humid, and the primer didnt adhere like it should have. We didnt find this out until later. After a few days and many hours of fooling with airpressures and sanding our mistakes, it finally looked awesome. Unfortunately, due to the primer being screwed, the paint is now chipping off in big chunks in random places. I garuntee you that the kit was prepped correctly for painting, many hours were put into correct prep and the right adhesion promoters for my urethane kit. Anyways, Im going to pay and have it professionally painted this time around. Does anyone know of any good shops in the MD/VA area? Also, due to the nature of the primer, I cant just sand off the clear, I have to sand everything off back to the urethane before repainting. Should I have a shop do this prep, or should I do it? I am thinking about just paying to have it done right. Im a DIY guy, but it seems that paint is a little too tricky and time consuming for my schedule and budget. Thanks in advance!
