Default EK Suspension

I currently have a 2000 ITR and I have really good suspension. I am thinking of selling and buying an EK and my question being is there a way of using my suspension on it? Now I know that it fits the EG but I am not sure if it would fit the EK with CTR Rear lower controll arms. Any deffinitive answers would be great. Again I know it wont fit with the stock lower arms but not sure how the CTR lower arms are. Please help me out.

front suspension will work but the rear suspension will not work. the rear lower control arms for the EK are different from the DC2. the DC2 uses a ball joint type shock for the lower control arm and the EK uses the fork type shocks. the CTR lower control arms are the same as the USDM EK's...

Could it be that it's just the R's rear shocks that are different? I have had my Tokico illumina's on both my EG and my EK, and the only difference was that spacers were needed for the EK, which were provided by Tokico. It said it would work on a DC chassis as well.

As a matter of fact, i have a set of DC2 trailing arm assemblies in my garage and they look identical to the EGs, with the exception of the brakes/sway bar tie rods.

Thank you very much, I was thinking that I just was not too sure as I am new to the EK world.

the rear lower control arms of the EG/DC2 and the EK are different in length. so they wont fit...

yes it will work...you'd have to re-use your EK rear lower lower control arms, modify the ebrake lines (or buy an 00 civic SI ebrake line), and get rear brake lines (i just bought a whole (front and rear) stainless steel brakeline kit from Goodridge).

I am looking into buying a house relatively soon and I want a fast honda and a cheep payment. I can do a swap in time and still have a fast cheep car. This is my second R and third DC2 so I am kinda anxious to try something new.

you'll enjoy the EK...especially w/ the proper mods done to it. and it looks like you are heading in the right direction w/ your suspension setup.

I currently have Zeal B6 on my R as I had on my first R and I love this suspension. I love it so much that after my first R I sold my suspension and then on my second one I bought another new set. I just really wish I could have used it but oh well, I guess I will have to buy my THIRD set..
