Default not so torquey

my friend just picked up a
a.) 92 prelude si, would the vin # tell me what engine was in it stock?
- it now has a vtec head and '99 jdm h22a block.
b.)should redline be about 6500rpm?
-noticed it had a p13 ecu in it.
c.)how to tell if ecu is obd 1(92-95) or obd 2(96-...)?
d.)are there #'s or specific things on the head to tell which gen the head came from?

I can get pictures, just need to know of what!

look under the hood and look for the engine code, if it's a 92 si it'll most likely say h23a1 and if it has a h22 block it would say h22a1 and redline for an h23 is 6500 so i'd say it's safe to say your buddy has an h23

naw it came with a swap, just trying to figure out which head was bolted onto the block. it says h22a on the block, and I got the info from the owner that it is a 1999 jdm block.

o have driven the car, vtec kicks in, via the setting on the vafc. there is a vtec ecu just don't know obd1 or 2 so I don't know if I should suggest him getting a p28 and chip it because it has to be obd1 to do that.

no, a p13 from a 96 will be obd2. if you can post pics of the stickers on the ecu someone should be able to tell you if its obd2.
