honda makes some nice 60 and 62mm TBs that are a good increase on your 58mm one. since i assume that $1400 means staying NA. stay away from the bling and go for the upgrades that give you the most bang for the buck.

jun header, spend the change on making a bash guard that attaches to the tow hooks to keep from smashing it.

Forget the crank pulley and ignition. Crank pulleys cause a lot of problems and stock honda ignition is really good stuff. If you're going to stay N/A there's not really much more you can do besides maybe cams, tb, and ecu. If it were me and I had $1400 to play with I'd probably build a homemade turbo setup or invest in some really good tires and wheels (i.e. not bling)

Ctr intake cam, with gsr exhaust.

Youll find the most of your power coming from your head. Some decent cams, and a good p&p head from dpr, or portflow, or pyr. Youll love it.

I agree w/everyone else on the head work. If you shop around you could really stretch that 1400.

Try the EF1 valvetrain.

If had to spend money on my b16 again I'd sell my ITR valvetrain and try the EF1 valvetrain.

You can get the FULL valvetrain for 990$.. that's cams/springs/retainers. Then you have money left over for some ECU chipping or a VAFC. Maybe some CAM gears to go with the cams!

990=Valvetrain
150=Used/ Cam gears (I just bought new STR gears for 140$!!!)

That's 1140 then you have 260$ left over for other stuff including fuel management.

If I had 1400, I'd store 1000 in the bank or something and make due with 400.

Rocket Motorsports has M20 regrinds that are more agressive than Skunk2 stage 1 cams, but less than Stage two cams that need higher comression than the B16 has to work right. And at half the price of skunk. And Skunk stage ones are far more agressive than CTR or ITR cams.
