i got an idea
do you think this would work
take the filter and put it on this side of the airbox u pipe(dont know what its called)
and connect it to the intake elbo with a hose like this

it would look somthin like this

what are you trying to do? get cold air w/o the risk of hydrolocking? wouldnt it be better to just get a shortram pipe, probably have to cut some of it, and connect it to the stock airbox?

your making a cold air intake that is actually a short ram it´s not gonna give you anything! the air has to travel a longer distance through more bends and the filter is still in the hood right by the side of your exhaust sucking in hot air! so you actually get all the cons of the short ram and all the cons of the cold air and you end up with a bad idea
Bad Idea, I never knew hondas had a problem with gas mileage?? my crx fully built crx with a chipped ecu got 39mpg on the interestate, i think you are just waisting your time and brain power.
