I was wondering how to adjust a handbrake on an 03' civic. Do I need to take off the handbrake housing? There is nothing to adjust underneath the car. Anyone have a diagram?

 

you just pop the caseing around the e-bbrake off, and there will be the cables with a bolt on it, you just tighten or loosen it like that.

 

I know what your trying to do, i suggest not doing it at ALL, if you tighten the e-brake past stock specification it could end up being partially engaged at all times, if you do decide to go through with it, be carefull in the amount you tighten the cable.

i don't understand what he's trying to do either.

 

His ebrake is probably too high. I bet he wants it lower, thats what i did.
