most civic coupe exhausts will fit with a spacer. I have an RS*R exmag (which is awesome, just love it) but I had to have a spacer that I think was around 2'' to make the piping a bit longer. it works perfect and I couldn't be happier.
p.s. an EX-mag will make you very happy.

I have an RSR Exmag 2dr exhaust on my 95 LX 4dr and it fits fine for me. sombasol, what exactly did you need to make longer? As far as I know, all 2dr/4dr exhausts are the same.

i put a spacer between the a and b pipe. It's actually the older version before they left the first time.

NOt having a cat could be a lot of the ricer problem. Even witht the straight thru Resonator/cat it absorbs the sound and doesnt give it that tin can **** sound. I have never heard anyone be unhappy with an N1
just my .02

I just bought this coupe--it came with a DC Sports header and stainless steel exhaust. I haven't climbed under it yet to see if the cat is stock, but I'm very impressed with the deepness of the sound of this system. It's loud but it does settle down at freeway speeds unless I've got 3 passengers on-board and a hill comes along. I don't know how much the header affects it but I hear other ricey cars around and mine is much healthier sounding. I'm sure DC Sports makes one for 4 door cars.

It's just a piece of steel about 2" thick placed between the two pipes. here's my artful diagram as if you were looking down on it from the top of the car...

other people are saying you don't need to alter anything, so maybe it's just the model i got???
