ACG fuse? What does ACG mean?
What exactly does ACG mean. Yeserday I accidently pulled it out, when I was reaching for the fuse puller, then put it in the wrong space. I tried to start my car, and it wouldn't start. I was freaking out. Checked for spark, no spark, checked for fuel, no fuel. So I checked the ECU fuse, it was all good. Then I checked the Ecu, all the connections looked fine. Checked my grounds, they were all good. I couldn't figure it out. Then I started to retrace my footsteps, and noticed that in 15amp ACG (S) slot on my fuse map was empty. Put a 15amp fuse in there, and it started right up.
Now my question is, what exactly is ACG. What does it stand for? I know what happens when it goes out, but I would like to know a little more. I did a search and found 4 posts, 3 archived and one present. I read through each one, and no one had a clear explination.

I am having this problem right now..... how was this resolved? Thanks I know its a complex circuit controlling lotta stuff, but any tips would help me in troubleshooting.
ACG (IG) 15a fuse above fuse puller randomly blows.

my altenator circuit generator fuse keeps blowing out i checked all the wiring from the ecu all the may to the underdash fuse box and couldnt find anything. i unhooked the altenator and cd player and it cranked right up. i hooked the altenaot back up let it run got in the car shut the door and it blew again. i replaced the fuse and unhooked the altenator again and when i turn the key to the on position it blows the fuse everytime. any help
you got a short in the wire. its time to bust out the multimeter and start tracing that circuit, you can try to isolate the area by having a buddy wiggle the wires, while you keep replacing the fuses or get a fuse saver

i also have dat same problem w my gsr, it came down to da crankshaft position sensor. ????, wat i did waz put a wire where da fuse go n started da car, yea, i know i can set da car on fire, its a risk i took. after i started da car, i checked which wires got hot, it waz da 2 black/yellow wires comin outta my main relay, so i reved up my car a lil den turned it off, started it again n da wires didnt get hot no more. i den put da fuse back in n it didnt pop but my check eng light came on, i hooked up my scanner n it waz da crankshaft position sensor (ckf). try it out but carefull on not settin ur car on fire tho, good luck
wahh? iz 2 hrd 2 tip lik n nglish n stuf
you had a different problem with the same symptom, car wont start. More than one thing can cause that. BTW this thread is almost 6 years old. I think he figured it out by now

i have a 86 accord lx
the car would start and idle on its own for 5 seconds then idles high then shuts off. i put in a new battery and got the alternator tested and it came back it was still good. could the ACG fuse have anything to do with this?

If your 86 accord starts and then stalls when it is cold, it most likely needs the carburetor to be rebuilt. Very common. A fuse will not cause this.

But when it is hooked to the jumper cables to another car it stays running like a champ but once i disconnect the jumpers the idle kickes high then the car dies. im fed up and cant figure out what it is any suggestions?
