vtec oil pump badly burned in fire is it ok to use

Default vtec oil pump badly burned in fire is it ok to use

i have a oil pump that was on a freinds car that caught on fire.(b16a)(jdm) every thing was badly burnd. i was told the oil pump would be all good if i bought new seals for it. is this true? WHAT WOULD YOU DO????

I would inspect it for any damage. If there was anything out of spec I wouldn't use it.

any one know where i can find one cheap. i've been looking all arounde and cant find any auto store that sell them.
