CRAP Car wont start!!! ARGHHHH help!!
I was installing the indiglos all day long..
After I was done, I just tried to start the engine, but it wont start!! WTF?
I have no clue what the problem is! please help!
Its a 97 Integra RS.
The engine wont start, but I can still turn on the headlights, and all the lights come on when I turn the key half way.....
So I'm guessing my battery's okay.... I checked the fuses next to the battery....they seem okay too.
While I was installing the gauges, I did open the fuse below the steering wheel, but I didn't touch anything....what the hell ARGHHH
Is my ignition f**ked up? please anyone, I need help!

After a brief moment of panic/fear/sadness/helplessness/anger, I read some posts about engine starting problems.
First I thought the battery was going bad. Then, I thought that my starter could have been f**ked up. After a few minutes, I thought a fuse had blown or something.
Apparently, I left the steering wheel height adjusting lever unlocked. You know what I'm talking about, right?
After I locked it, the car did start. But I had to re-enter the 5-pin code for the stereo. DOH!

But any of you who are experiencing difficulties starting the engine, you should
check out the starter, generator, battery, fuses...etc.
(There was also someone who recommended to take out the batteries and try to jump start the car with another car, if the car does start then, you need to replace the battery, if the car doesn't start, its either starter or something else..)

No way - I gotta go check that out at lunchtime
Seems like an ok idea to me though. It's like, wouldn't you want the car to not start if your foot was stuck in the door and dragging on the road, would you?
Sure, it's dummy proof, but hey, lots of people are dumb!

oooookay, I'm retarded, woohoo!! yay for me!!
Well, I had it checked out yesterday because I had a weak ignition....meaning it took quite a few seconds for the engine to turn over despite the fact that the height adjust lever was locked.
Turns out its the battery is going, so I just replaced the battery for 70 bucks.
And as far as the lever and ignition, I don't know whether what I said was true...I'm gonna try it out though, now that I have a brand spanking new battery.
sorry about all the misunderstandings. my bad
