Default 90 Accord EX A/T overfill?

If the A/T is overfilled can it leak out of the main input seal? I'm wondering if the seal is bad although it was just installed last month with no leaks for the first 2Kmi but now it is leaking. Since the outside temps have gone up about 20 degrees here in the NE I've noticed that the dipstick reads 1/2 quart higher now with the engine warm than it did when the outside temps were in the 20's. Any thoughts ideas. I'm not looking forward to pulling the PX4B again.

On a car with automatic transmission ... when properly filled it will NOT leak even if the axle is removed without draining the transmission. On a 5 speed it will leak out when the axle is removed without draining the transmission.

Now ... to your question:

You may have had a new seal installed and had no problems for the first 2000 miles ... but the axle may have some burring on it that is cutting the seal. You would be smart to remove the axle and give it a good looking over to make sure the surface where the seal makes comtact is smooth and no marks at all.

Thanks for the response. However the leak is coming from the input seal behind the torque converter. I am wondering if the A/T is overfilled that the seal is not "airtight" enough to hold back hot A/T fluid when the engine is not running. From what I understand seals only really work well when the shaft inside them is rotating. Kind of like a little pump action from the ridges molded into the seal lip.
