hey... i just bought a 89 crx si that already has mounts for b series engines... i just needed to know if all b series will fit in because i dont know about the wiring and all about the obd1 and obd2 and that stuff... so what engines will i be able to fit... im thinking about a b16a1... thanks

 

Any B-series engine will fit. 1.8non vtec would be the easiest swap. Anything else is going to need extra wiring for the vtec control. B16 is by far the most populr that I have seen on this site.

 

all b sriies will fit w a cable transmision
check sig for a mount kit for cheep


you can use hydro w a special mount kit

you want a b16 a w cable trans swaper

 

Stick with the first gen b16a b/c its obd-0 like your crx, then you only need to add 4 wires to ecu.

dont swap. build your d16a6. im going to build mine for high compression. nothing like built sohc non vtec kicking some ***.
