Default DPFI to MPFI... engine info???

Hey, I've just started to read up on this swap and I was wondering if I can do it to my engine. I have a 91 civic hb cx 5 speed. I don't know what kind of engine I have, or if the MPFI will fit on it or not. The only thing I know is that it's not a dohc engine. Is there somewhere on my car where it says what type of engine it is? Anyways any help would be great.

I'm guessing that you have a D15B2. Take a look at the engine block, to the left of the header, right below where the head and block meet, there should be some sort of engine ID. Chances are though that you can do the MPFI swap.

did 91 civics have a cx option?

does your engine have a plastic piece above the valve cover that says "pgmfi"?

or is it a metal piece that says "pgmfi"?

if plastic, you have dpfi and this swap would work for you
if metal, no need to worry...you aleady have it!
