I was swapping my USDM valve cover for a JDM one. I took it off but a piece fell out and I don't know where it goes. It's brass looking and small (maybe 1.25-1.5") and its oval. It's like 1/8" thick. Like I flipped over my valve cover to take the gasket out and it fell.

Oh, it could be a spacer.
