its WAY to high man.
I dont know what it should be, try 47-50PSI with the vacume hose on. Thats were mine is
Your fuel mileage will be like 3 miles go the galon and it will be as peppy as a riding a pig. Not to mention its killing your cat, if you have one.

I always take the hose off to adjust. However those B and M gauges are notourious for going bad. I am on my 2nd one right now. They suck. I dont know if you can get a stock fuel pump to run that high a pressure. Just something to check out.

I think your gauge is bad. I had the same problem, I had to switch to a liquid filled gauge in order for it not to go bad. The liquid keeps the gauge from vibrating so much and thus not work properly. Good luck.

****, i'm pushing like 40 PSi according to my auto meter guage at WOT, and i though that might be too high... does it backfire like a mother when you shift...?

That will give you an indication if your fuel pressure is actually high. If you really lucky you'll get some nice fireballs aswell!!

im guessing also if the fuel pressure is that high its causing the leaks. I run my psi at 40psi with the hose off. THen when i put it on its about 31 or so at idle.
yup no doubt, no chance that 14 year old pump could do 95 now 100+ psi lol.... it's fudged.... any other companies make better ones i could slap on that rail?

This is EXACTLY how stock fuel pressure should be.
with the car running at idle, fully warm, with the vac hose ON you should see 28-32psi. Then take the vac hose OFF and it should jump to 38-42psi.
vac hose disconnected simulates WOT.
Just saw your User name.. this is a Honda civic right?

yup it's on a non obd b16a, got my new gauge today, marshall liquid filled from inlinefour.com. looks sweet hope it lasts longer than b&m. also since i decided to mess w/ my b&m fpr before i knew the gauge was busted, i had to set it back. set it to 31 idle 40 wot (vac off)

problem fixed. hope this marshall liquid filled gauge works better than that pos B&M, thanks to those who said that was the prob! your exactly right....

btw no it's not cracked, it's liquid filled to keep the needle from bouncing !L33t!

Just keep in mind that your Fuel pressure will be alot higher on cold starts because your car is in open loop so it dumps fuel until it goes to closed loop. But yes that was way to high of fuel pressure at a cold idle.
