aem now makes intakes for the 88-91 civic with engine swaps. But, currently I am running a 00si aem cai in my 91 civic from when I had my si.

Yeah, my battery is relocated in the trunk, so it works great for me, it used to choke with an old generic air filter, because I left my aem filter on my 00si. but after I put some water remover in there and switched to an k&n air filter, it never choked again.

What size piping is that compared to the CRX?

Get the intake for a 99-00 Si. I believe its 2.5" in diameter compared to 2" for the 88-91 CRX intake. Not sure but check AEM's site for more info. Also, if you go with a CAI don't waste your money on the bypass valve. Also, AEM isn't a waste of money as you can find them fairly cheap on ebay.

The stock b16 throttle body is 2.283 inches.. or 58mm. There is no point in having an intake that is 3" in diameter unless you have a 3" or 72mm throttle body.

A 2.5 inch cold air intake that you can get for the crx of many-o-ebay ads will be just fine. Just upgrade the filter.

Or, as someone stated earlier... make your own.

I have a 2.5" cold air intake on my crx with b16 but I don't use the cold air extension. I left the hole (to the resonator location, where I removed the resonator) and I cut the lower plastic shields to force some air up there. So I have short ram that get's plenty cold air!

For the record I have a JG 68mm TB with a skunk2 mani and I don't think my 2.5" piping is choking anything!

are you doubting that it fits? if so, ive got a 2.75 inch cai that fits perfect right through the hole. i was not able to fit it through with the rubber gasket that holds the filter with the tube, but by taking it off slipping the tube through then putting the filter on after it was seriously a perfect fit.

im not doubting that it fits, i'd just like to see if his is fitting the same as mine(99-00 Si). not everyone uses the same mount kit, and there is a support braket welded to the intake, and id like to see where its at on his set up. the previous owner of my car put his B16A in before mount kits were available. mmmmmmmmkay

they are already out, they list the part number, and i have checked with a few distributors. all it will be is an intake like what is made for the car but in 2.75 diameter. instead of 2.25 or 2.5 like it already is to many bends for my taste, and too much money

I say go with the 90-93 Integra. AEM is a good brand but like others have noted they are kinda pricey for what they are giving you.
