yes i have a 88 hatch had to get mounting bracket from 91. biggest thing is the speed sensor from a 92 up and to wire it up as well took me a whlie a novice at this. and if no speed sensor u cant tell your speed

pretty easy swap. do a search since the 90 is probably the best candidate for the cluster swap. since you already have the larger shroud , not like the 88-89s with the small style.
