Today I tried to swap my seats from my 90 crx into my 89 civic. I noticed the rails didnt bolt up so I tried to swap rails too, and that didn't work either. Is there any way I can get them to work?

i have thesame prob, and i have searched, but its hard to get a result

 

i had a similar problem just the other way around. I searched and couldn't find any useful info. We had to swap the DX seat pans onto the SI seat cushions to keep the rails the same. try to use the stock rails and seat pans. its a PITA. you have to unclip all the clips that hold the seat fabric on and clip them back. Oh I had an 88 CRX SI and i was trying to put in 89 CRX SI seats. If that tells ya anything.

 

Do you have pictures of you doing the seat pan swap? Or atleast a how-to or something? Will the civic seat pan bolt directly onto the crx seat?

I'm using civic si seats for the seat pan donors, if I can find out that it works good.
I just really like the Si seats in my crx then I do in my civic.

 

i am still stuck on mine, cuss i have 89 civic (std) rails, 90 crx dx seats, i cant figure out a way to make them work

 

i also have the same problem , 89 crx si seats into my 91 civic dx beater ... **** is just not workin out ... i've tried searching as well , and that doesnt seem to work out just like the seats ......

 

the best thing to do is early 80's prelude seats are a lot thiner and tighter on your body and hold you in better, i have a 88' HB with lude seats, i also use to own a lude but traded it for a bass guitar, you have to make a plate or run bolts and drill your new holes in the body. make sure to use anti-rust paint over the on the hole so you dont start a problem and you seats fall out one day due to rust
