Default d17a2 swaps in???????????

I have a FREE d17a2 if i want to take it. Its the engine in the 01 civic ex i believe. Will this swap into my 88 crx??????? If so what will i need??? I know what is needed for a d16z6 and d16y8 in a 4th gen, but since this is obd3 (i think) i thought this might be a little different, is it even possible to wire odb0 to obd3?? thanks for any help

If you still have d-series as we speak, its simple. Keep your old manifold instake/exhaust and distributor and just install the bare motor/block.

Don't the 01 up have a returnless fuel system?

Just something to think about.

Well, if you look at your CRX, it will have a fuel line going into the fuel rail that supplies the fuel, and a line coming out of the fuel rail that returns the "unused" gas back to the tank. I've heard that the 01+ Civics lack the return line.

D17 is useless in an EF
manifolds are different bolt patterns
mounts are different
no place to mount a distributor
hell even the alternator is on the front side of the motor
could it be done--->YES
worth it---> NO
