Jumping ECU's
We have an EMERGENCY situation here and we need some help.
my friends motor is fucked so we dropped in my 92 d16z6 motor in his 2000 civic ex. We were just informed that the obd 2's have a crank angle positon sensor which the obd1's do not have.
Is there a way to jump the ECU or put a switch on the sensor or even ground it off so that the ECU will not look for that sensor?
We need any and all possibilites here! Will his car fire up, and be dravable without that sensor? Please post up anything u can to help out!
Thanks!

The cylinder postion sensor is in the distributor right? Use the newer ecu, and the newer harness, and the newer distributor on the d16z6! It will act as if it was the stock motor?
no the sensor is down on the y8 block near the crank or crank pulley. We jsut noticed that today. I guess there is 2 sensors . . . one in the dist. to watch detonation or something, and one down below.
