I had gotten a Honda OEM part (15/16" MC) so can't confirm the Autozone p/n. But the 90-91 Civic EX Sedan only came with the D16A6. Therefore it should be what they are calling the "..1.6 engine...". So I guess that would be the first entry you listed.

The only thing I'd be worried about, is the way they are listing things. They just say Civic, who knows if they were aware of all the iterations (Civic hatch, Civic Sedan, Civic Wagon, Civic CRX) and the subtle differences amongst them.

On the second question, yes the reservoir's are interchangeable. Not sure on the Autozone one, but OEM Civic EX ones are larger to go with the larger capacity of the MC. Not a big deal though, most people have to use the smaller one to clear a strut bar, etc.

It's actually a thread from the EG forum, they can use it too. Clifnotes: P/N M52517

i think the base of the reservoir is a larger diameter on the ex MC...i think...ill go down to the garage in a little and double check.

i believe the reservoir is the same as the 90+ integra...they are more common in the junkyards.

are you using the 90-91 Ex Booster also?

because u can keep your stock booster and run the 88-91 Prelude SI MC

the bolt pattern is the same as your stock crx booster...the only modification needed is to bend the front line that goes into the MC straight.

prelude mc is also 15/16 btw

i remember now why i went with the prelude MC...

most of the autoparts chains do not carry the 90-91 EX MC in stock

but the preludes are in stock

so that link is correct and you will be able to use the 90-91 MC with stock booster

sorry for the confusion

I did mine a few months ago and the receipt says #M52517. And yes you can use your original reservoir. I went to 5 or 6 different Autozones to find the right one. Some of them had the smaller MCs with that part number. Guess it all depends what people give them as a core.

You can save a buck or two, buy using the 86-89 Accord or 88-91 Prelude 15/16" master cyclinders. Those require a tiny bit of bending of the front line, though.

Read Driven's nice write up, http://thezam.org/kam/ (it's under 'Tech'...).

People always dick around with the Integra and Civic EX larger units with mixed results.

I've done three different Accord MCs...specifically 89 LXi that is 15/16"...I've never had to "rebend" a line and it bolts right to the stock CRX booster.

autzone doesn't have a part number for the ex, all they have is 1.5 or 1.6, as mentioned earlier. so I just bought a 1.6 one. don't know the part number but, the reservoir was alot bigger than the one I took off of my 1.5. It cleared my strut bar as well. Napa does differentiate between si and ex though, but they never have the ex in stock, and their prices are higher than autozone.

are you sure they didn't give you the station wagon part number by mistake? it should bolt up fine, the station wagon and sedan have two different part nube m52517 sedan, and m52515 wagon.

IF the mounting holes are incorrect then you got a integra master cylinder by mistake
