what to do? lsvtec or b16 boosted
I think narrowing it down a bit more could be good. How long are you going to work on this project. Is a JUST a drag car IE:NOT street legal and no road use. How much do you have to spend.
Turbo'd would be the way to go a turbo b16 even with its mild comp can make good power on lower boost of course if tuning is correct. The ls turbo would be more money but the LS does love boost and more TQ is never a complaint.
I personally like both they both are great platforms to work off of. Depending on funds really.

Has everyone forgotten why people began to assemble Frankenstein engines to begin with? If you have the money to "build" and engine why do a LSVTEC to begin with?
LSVTEC and CRVTEC frank motors were being assembled as a lower cost alternative to obtaining the power of the higher priced B18C1, B18C5, and JDM B18C engines. These days people are going nuts with building these up.
