IRC the H23 Tranny will not be as quick but will have a higher top end.
Note H23 tranny has a lower final gear ratio than the H22's. I can't remember the exact but I think the H23 is around 4.1 and the H22 is around 4.2...

so does that mean it would slow 1/4 mile times down, and or fall out of vtec threw the lower gears,,,cause i know the h22 tranny falls out of vtec in 2nd but only like 200 or 300 rmp ,, but with a h23 would it fall out in 3rd to,,,

i have an h23 tranny on my jdm h22. i like the way it performs. It is very close to the h22 tranny. The final drive is the same as the h22... 4.266. It doesnt fall out of vtec with me at all. I normally shift around 7700 rpms. I think it works good. just dont break down and get an accord tranny...you will be screwed and slow then!

Yeah, I have seen an H22 Accord with the LX/DX tranny that ran 170MPH.
