ys1 is from either gsr or ls
the gsr has a substantial difference in gear ratios than the ls
and the s1 is another tranny that was around in 92-93 but only in japan on the sir1. the ls tranny that is 94+ is a s80 and the gsr had either a s80 or y80 case and the itr uses a s80 case also.

your case holds about two quarts of oil. fill it per factory specs and you will be fine

this is wrong.

the sir1 is an 89-91 engine, and has the earlier version of tranny, such as a s1, y1, or j1. The sir2 has a hydro tranny since in 92 civics became hydro.

all 92-93 integras came with "ys1" trannies. Doesn't matter if its rs/ls/gs/lss/gsr..... the gsr trannies have the shorter gears. The 92-93 jdm xsi's also had short geared ys1's. And I believe the 92-93 jdm b18a equiped cars also had ys1's.

usdm 90-91 cars had a couple different trannies, but never a ys1. Some have a1's, and I believe some have s1's. y1's and j1's were available in japan, but I don't think in the us. Also, the s1 has a jdm version with short gears.
