stupid dyno questions but.
umm yeah, I just got thru talking to the owner of the local dyno and they said they dont know what gear to pull my car in. LS trany LS/vtec ???? you guys know?
and when they dynoed my friends car they didn't have any fans blowing on the intercooler???? that cant be good.
any thoughts?

Youll most likely have to do it in 4th. I did my first one in 3rd and spun like a sum bitch. And if they dont have fans then i wouldnt even consider going to them.

thats why we have a dynapack........ no tires to spin
but we usually use 3rd gear unless the tq maxes out ( on a b16 tranny in 3rd gear thats about 350ft lbs.. about 450ft/lbs in 4th gear) if it maxes hte dyno in 3rd we use 4th. we have only had one honda do that.. the 2liter turbo b16 on 22psi with a slipping clutch did it in 3rd gear... that same car but with a good clutch did it in 4th gear, but that was cause a vac line blew off the wg and it hit about 40 psi
